Start Fresh: Design and Launch Research Development
Establishing research development support at any level of an institution is a daunting endeavor. I work closely with institutional leadership, faculty, staff and other interest holders to listen deeply and craft right-sized solutions. The outcome is a foundational office for research development with a strategic plan in place to guide the work for the first year.

- Tailored onboarding, training, coaching, and mentoring for up to three team members during implementation (not to exceed $5,000, for 30 hours)

Re-invigoration of Existing Research Development
For offices that need to revisit, revise, or revamp their goals, I provide the opportunity to refresh existing research development offices so that they can meet the moment. Leveraging strengths, I focus on shaping existing talent and improving team performance. I help you better understand the current context and function of your RD team. From providing slight tweaks to crafting a full renovation, I am committed to helping you realize the potential of an RD unit. This package is appropriate for all levels of RD, across all sizes and kinds of institutions.
Included:
- Individual-level Research Development competency assessment and alignment at the role and individual level (survey and document analysis)
- Audit of internal services and processes (up to 1 month shadowing)
- Analysis of service delivery, gaps in service, and metrics
- Qualitative and quantitative analysis of client experience (up to three months of community perspective taking)
Add ons:
- Team retreat and team building to garner internal commitment to re-visioning ($5,000)
- Tailored, confidential, strengths-based individual coaching of staff ($250/hour per person, or $9,000 for monthly retainer up to 40 hours)
Deliverables:
- Comprehensive strategic plan with recommendations for implementation
- Summary of aggregated results of all audit and assessment activities
